Today I used Google Docs for the first time. Personally I did not like it. I thought that Microsoft Word is a much better resource to type up documents and share them with others. There are many more fonts, colors, and other nice options that are not available on Google Docs. I also was not a fan of not being able to save the document on your desktop and in your files. You can only save it on your google account which many people can not access, although some peope may enjoy this feature. Even though I find that there are more disadvantages, than advantages, other people may disagree.
Using Google Docs in the classroom may be a benefit though. Knowing that I am going to be an English teacher someday makes me think of how I could possibly use this in my classroom. By allowing each student to set up an account on google, this allows them access to GoogleDocs. This may make it easier for me to communicate, return and receive papers in a much more organized way. This would also allow me to save paper by not having students to print out papers whenever they would like me to review it.

Wii Education
There are many games for the Wii console that are educational. Programs have come out such as Jumpstart Education, Science Papa, and even Seseme Street has their own game for Wii. A lot of the games that companies are coming out with are excellent, because children may not even know they are learning! When a child is not playing an eduational game on Wii, they can be exercising, which is a growing problem for children and teens because they are not getting enough exercise per day. While exercising, they can be learning about the benefits as well as seeing their weight, heart rate, and even how many calories they burn. Through the Wii Console, children can get on the internet and play educational games online.
